Literacy support for schools: choose the pathway you need now

Choose the support your school needs now.

Not every school needs the same level of support. All three pathways are grounded in the same Literacy Impact™ methodology. The difference is how much diagnosis, guidance and implementation support you need.

You may already know what needs to change, but need greater confidence in how to lead it. You may be looking at your student data and asking what to prioritise first. Or you may be ready to stop tackling literacy improvement in isolated initiatives and build a coherent whole school approach with an expert partner alongside you.

Signature partnership

Building Literacy Excellence™

“We are ready to build this properly, and we want an expert partner alongside us.”

Building Literacy Excellence™ is my signature one year intensive for schools ready to move beyond isolated professional learning and deliberately build the conditions and systems for sustainable whole school literacy improvement.

Together, we define what strong literacy systems look like, provide a structured pathway to build them, and measure whether they are working, adjusting as we go so success becomes increasingly predictable. You are not handed a roadmap and left to find the time. Your leadership team has dedicated time mapped out across the year to lead the improvement, with your school’s personalised roadmap and regular strategy and accountability check-ins.

Best for: schools ready for sustained whole school improvement that want expert guidance, implementation support and accountability alongside them. It is also good for building teacher ‘champions’ into middle leaders to support high staff turnover changes.

Your investment: one annual investment per school, including up to four leaders. Pay upfront or across two semester payments.

Not ready for a full year? Two smaller ways to start.

Diagnosis and strategy

Literacy Excellence Audit & Strategy Day™

“We know our results need to improve. We need clarity about what to fix first.”

Perhaps your intervention list keeps growing. Too many students remain below benchmark. Your NAPLAN results aren’t shifting as expected. Or you have multiple programs, assessments and approaches in place, but aren’t confident which part of the system is limiting student growth.

During the Audit & Strategy Day, I work alongside your leadership team to examine your student and staff data, assessment schedule, Tier 1 teaching, curriculum, intervention and current improvement processes. We ask: where are you now, where do you want to be, why aren’t you there yet, and what needs to happen next?

You leave with

  • Clear priorities and a personalised literacy improvement strategy
  • A practical roadmap for moving forward, rather than another list of things to add
  • A recommended assessment schedule and universal screening
  • A personalised assessment decision making tree (oral reading fluency, spelling or writing) so teachers know what to do with their data and what intervention approach is required
  • A starting point for building your school’s MTSS and Response to Intervention structures

Best for: schools that know something needs to change but want expert diagnosis and a clear, evidence informed starting point before deciding on their next move.

Online leadership modules

Leading Literacy Impact™: literacy implementation curriculum for school leaders

“We know what needs to change. We need to know how to lead it.”

You may understand the research and have a strong curriculum and pedagogical knowledge. But curriculum knowledge is not implementation knowledge. Being a great teacher doesn’t automatically prepare you to build a literacy system. That’s a different leadership capability.

Leading Literacy Impact™ is the implementation curriculum I wish I had as a school leader. It gives principals, deputies and literacy leaders a structured way to understand what strong literacy systems look like and how to lead the work, from diagnosing the issue and setting priorities through to implementation, monitoring and sustaining improvement.

Self paced online modules: a gateway School Improvement Blueprint™ plus ten practical modules, with implementation frameworks, diagnostic tools and literacy routines ready to use in your context.

Best for: leadership teams who broadly know what needs to change and want the knowledge, tools and confidence to lead the implementation themselves.

Leading Literacy Impact™

Not sure which literacy support your school needs?

You don’t need to diagnose the problem before we speak. A 15 minute Literacy Clarity Call is a conversation about where your school is now, what you’re seeing, what change you are working towards and what level of support is likely to be most useful.

Frequently asked questions

Why choose Literacy Impact™ to support your school improvement journey?

I have spent more than 25 years inside schools across Australia and the UK as a specialist teacher, SENCO, Support Teacher Learning Difficulties and Deputy Principal, often in challenging and EAL/D communities. I know what it is like when a student is struggling and no one is sure what is driving it, which diagnostic to use next or what to teach.

That is why I don’t begin with a program. We diagnose before we prescribe. Literacy Impact™ gives schools the literacy support and professional learning to build the MTSS and RTI systems behind whole school literacy improvement: strong Tier 1 teaching, timely screening, clear diagnostic pathways, matched intervention and leadership oversight. We measure as we go, so success becomes increasingly predictable. Fewer students fall through the gaps, and intervention lists stop growing.

Because literacy changes the trajectory of a child’s life.

Which pathway is right for our school?

If you know what needs to change and need to lead it, start with Leading Literacy Impact™. If you need clarity on what to fix first, choose the Audit & Strategy Day™. If you are ready for a year of supported whole school change, apply for Building Literacy Excellence™.

Can we start small and build up?

Yes. Many schools begin with the Leading Literacy Impact™ modules or the Audit & Strategy Day™, then move into Building Literacy Excellence™ once priorities are clear. Do all three pathways use the same approach?

Yes. All three use the Literacy Impact™ methodology. The difference is how much diagnosis, guidance and implementation support your team receives.
